Rattray Primary School Nursery Extension & Refurbishment

Hadden Group has been appointed by Perth & Kinross Council as Main Contractor to deliver this extensive full school refurbishment and Early Years Nursery extension at Rattray Primary School via the Scottish Procurement Alliance Schools & Community Buildings Framework.
Working in a 'live' educational environment this project scope covers the complete refurbishment of the existing school comprising:
- full services upgrade of plumbing, electrics, heating and Wi-Fi systems
- full redecoration
- roofing repairs
- upgrading of the plant room and re-routing of services
The new enhanced nursery space extension will provide more early years capacity for local families with extended hours and weeks as Rattray Early Childhood Centre. The nursery extension provides the following facilities:
- Nursery play rooms
- Cloakrooms
- Toilets
- Offices
- External playspaces
The project is being phased with enabling works in the playground area commencing in June and over the summer holidays work will take place in the office areas and in P6, P6/7 and P7 classes upstairs. These areas will be fully usable when the school returns in August.
Thereafter classes will be decanted in pairs for periods of four weeks to two spare classrooms, whilst work is being undertaken in each area of the school.
