The projects will range in size, but are generally expected to be for 20-50 units on each site and likely to be in the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen areas.

Stephen Lynas, Business Development Director at Hadden Group added: "We're looking forward to working with LAR Housing Trust and bringing our mid-market rental construction experience to the fore on this framework. Scottish Procurement Alliance Public Building and Infrastructure Framework (PB3)

Hadden Group has welcomed its appointment to the Scottish Procurement Alliance’s Public Building and Infrastructure Framework (PB3).

The framework, which will run for the next four years until 30 September 2025, allows local authorities, social landlords/housing associations and other public sector bodies across Scotland to source contractors for works relating to the construction and refurbishment of educational, healthcare, emergency service and community buildings.

The framework can also be used for residential properties within mixed-use developments, student accommodation, conversion of commercial building for residential use, and can include associated infrastructure works.

Hadden Group has been appointed to deliver refurbishment and new build projects within the East, West Central and South regions across Scotland across the following value bands:

  • New build projects up to £2m
  • Refurbishment projects up to £2m
  • New build and refurbishment projects from £2m to £7m

Stephen Lynas, Business Development Director at Hadden Group, said: “We are delighted to have secured a place on this major framework. We have relationships with a number of public sector bodies across the country, having sucessfully delivered a range of projects under the previous Schools & Community Buildings SCB2 framework and we look forward to further developing our relationships with these clients whilst also engaging with SPA and new public sector customers.”

Scottish Procurement Alliance director, Clive Feeney, said, “Our Public Buildings and Infrastructure framework has been built with the Scottish public sector’s needs at the forefront. It offers a broader range of works, more flexibility for mixed-use projects, and expanded value bands to provide more options for procuring projects. A significant new addition is the ability to procure standalone infrastructure projects, such as bridges, retaining walls, drainage and new roadways.

“The new framework has been divided into five Scottish regions, with a range of regional and national contractors appointed, giving local authorities the chance to use local contractors where appropriate. We have also made changes to the pricing schedule to give partners more cost certainty at the start of the procurement process.”

The framework will run from 27 October 2021 until 30 September 2025, however individual call-off projects can be completed beyond the four-year duration as long as the contract is in place prior to the framework expiry date.
