Hadden Construction are delighted to provide supporting sponsorship for the RIAS Awards Dinner  being held at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh on 14th June 2017

This prestigious, black tie, event, presented by Scottish Television's Political Editor, Bernard Ponsonby, will include the presentation of this year's RIAS Awards (which will become the shortlist for Doolan 2017), the announcement of the RIBA Awards for Scotland and the presentation of the Forestry Commission Scotland/Wood for Good, Historic Environment Scotland, Saint-Gobain (Emerging Architect), Scottish Government (Client of the Year) and Zero Waste Scotland special category awards.

Commenting Stephen Lynas said: "We are grateful to the RIAS for the opportunity to provide support and sponsorship for this extremely well run and attended event. Architects are an integral part of construction projects and it is great to see such a range of well designed and executed projects on the shortlist.

The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) has announced a 27 strong shortlist for its 2017 awards (from 84 entries). The judging panel for this year includes Karen Anderson FRIAS (Timber representative), Lorraine Landels Hon FRIAS, Stuart McKnight RIBA, MUMA (representing the Royal Institute of British Architects) and Ole Wiig FRIAS.

Willie Watt, President of the RIAS, commented:
“Year on year the quality of Scottish Architecture is on the rise. Despite an economic climate which continues to squeeze fees and challenge professionals’ ability to deliver, Scotland’s architects are delivering work of truly international quality to serve our citizens and communities. Last year’s Festival of Architecture shone a bright light on both historic and contemporary Scottish buildings, literally highlighting a tradition of excellence. That tradition continues and as this brilliant shortlist demonstrates, Scotland’s architecture is in very good heart.”
