A few weeks ago, we celebrated the #NoWrongPath movement on social media. We are continuing the #NoWrongPath theme this week as we welcome Mark McGowan to the head office team! Mark left school and went to university to study Bio-Medical Sciences and decided to leave after two years as it wasn't for him. Up until now, he has been working as a labourer on our sites.

We recently asked Mark if he would like to become part of the General Works Team and he is now our new Trainee Quantity Surveyor in the General Works Division. We saw great potential in Mark and will be sponsoring him through his Quantity Surveying degree at Edinburgh’s Napier University. He will work with us part time when he is at university and full time during the holidays. We are great believers in the 'earn while you learn' option, and this experience for Mark will be invaluable whilst he is undergoing his degree.

Our General Works General Manager, Steven Martin had this to say: “We are excited to have Mark on board the General Works team. After the success of team member Matt Gorrie, who is now a fully qualified and full-time General Works Surveyor, we are keen to develop Mark's career in the same way”.
