Hadden Group recognise the importance of training our staff correctly to understand Mental Health in the workplace environment. We recently enrolled our Human Resources Manager, Amanda Cramb and Contracts Manager, Kevin Watson on a Mental Health First Aiders two-day course.

Mental Health First Aid is an initial response to distress and is the help given to a person before appropriate professional help or treatment can be obtained. The knowledge presented and understanding developed in the course helps to remove stigma and fear and to give confidence to approaching a person in distress.

Kevin Watson, Contracts Manager stated: “The Mental Health First Aiders Course was a powerful insight and learning experience on what those experiencing problems with their mental health go through. I now have a better understanding of the illnesses, and how to spot the signs in someone who is suffering.”
