Successful handover of Crossroads Community Hub, Hurlford

Hadden Group were delighted to successfully complete the construction and hand over the building to Crossroads Community Hub.

The Crossroads Community Development Trust which was formed to create the community facility, encompassing a farm shop, coffee shop, craft gallery, multi-use community space and learning centre in the Crossroads area of East Ayrshire.

The objective of this project is to regenerate the rural community surrounding Crossroads and to enable the people of East Ayrshire, and the wider community, to access local produce and encourage a deeper understanding of local food production and rural life.

The initiative aims to regenerate the local area and would be the first community-led farm shop in Scotland. The group have named the project: “Ayrshire Food from Ayrshire Folk”.

Hadden Group were appointed to deliver this project under a direct award via the Scottish Procurement Alliance Schools & Community Buildings Framework.
