Refurbishment of Hutchesons Hall, Glasgow

Work has now begun on the £0.7m internal refurbishment of Hutcheson\'s Hall in Glasgow for the National Trust for Scotland

This A listed building which is owned and maintained by the National Trust for Scotland was originally a hospital constructed with monies left in the wills of brothers George & Thomas Hutcheson.

The building which was designed by the Architect David Hamilton was completed in the early 1800s and is considered to be one of the finest examples of its period in Glasgow.

Works include the complete internal refubishment of the Hall to provide offices, restaurant, brasserie, kitchen and toilets.   The retention and reinstatement of the original architectural features is a high priority on this project.
