John Swinney MSP visits the Birks Cinema

Local MSP and Minister for Finance and Sustainable Growth, John Swinney, visited our Birks Cinema project site on 10 December 2012.

He was viewing the progress on the total refurbishment of the old cinema building in Aberfeldy,  where works are progressing well towards the projected opening of the new cinema in Spring 2013.

The building is now beginning to take shape from the outside as well as the inside with a new roof and large windows created to bring light into the foyer and cafe area.

The MSP said \"I am delighed to see the progress that is being made in rejuventating the Birks Cinema.  I am sure the Birks will establish a prominent and exciting role in the local community and will be a great asset to Aberfeldy and the Highland Perthshire area.\"
