Hadden Group gives back

Over the years we have been committed to going the extra mile to deliver community benefits within the communities we operate in. We provide local primary schools with Site Safety presentations that educate and inform them of the dangers on building sites whilst promoting careers in construction. It is a great opportunity to get the children involved with the project and makes them feel part of the process. We provide prize funds and run poster competitions with winning posters hung around our busy sites to continuously implement site safety messages. Recent visiting included Doune Primary School & Cuiken Primary School in Penicuik. Hadden Group are committed to site safety and educating young people to reduce the number of site related incidents across Scotland.

Over the past year we have engaged in a range of new initiatives to support communities where we are building. We are heavily involved with the Perth & Kinross Council @Scott Street initiative, helping young adults with core life skill by delivering workshops on employability and helping with CVs, interview skills and advice on career opportunities in the construction sector.

On a similar vein we have been working with East Lothian Council at the Construction and Technology (CAT) Centre in Musselburgh providing workshop support and employability talks to young people. Hadden Group are committed to working within communities to improve employability skills for young people and adults. We recognise the challenge of encouraging young people into the construction industry and are working hard through our Skills Academy & Apprenticeship programme to bring more people into this fast-paced and growing sector.

Finally, sometimes we can help by providing equipment that will enhance existing facilities. We recently donated a Pram Shelter to the local community centre in North Berwick as an added community benefit from our Law Primary School project. More recently, we were able to supply the Doune Woodland Group with aggregate in partnership with our Groundworker McNiven Construction for their community paths improvements on the edge of the village.

Hadden Group are committed to assisting local communities in areas where we are building as we recognise the benefits and added value we can deliver as part of our construction projects
