Awards for Killearn Village Hall

We were delighted that The RIAS Stirling Society of Architects has recently awarded Killearn Village Hall two awards, one for Best Use of Slate, Outright Winner and one for Best Building of The Year, Highly Commended.

The refurbishment and extension of this B listed former church which was completed by Haddens back in July 2013 provided a modern community hall and hub facility for the Killearn Community Futures Company.

The main church space was excavated into the basement to provide a new basement level with a new mid floor installed to provide a new multi-purpose hall over. Minor extensions to the building provided a full commercial kitchen and toilets, whilst the major contemporary extension linked to the old building via a glass link provided a coffee shop, meeting rooms plus a self contained youth club room which boasts a cinema area, computer area and a games room facility.
