Doune Health Centre

We are delighted to announce the completion of a new £2.7m single storey health centre in Doune for NHS Forth Valley in partnership with East Central Hub as a Tier 1 Contractor.

Over 100 local people also had the opportunity to get a first glimpse of their new health centre during a series of tours organised as part of a community open day.  Feedback from the event was very positive with many people welcoming the design, additional space and modern, bright facilities.

The new health centre will provide a wide range of health and social care services to the local community. These include physiotherapy, podiatry, counselling and services to support people with long term conditions such as diabetes, dementia and COPD (a common respiratory disease). There will also be more opportunities to help patients improve their own health by providing additional support and advice on diet, exercise, managing medicines and giving up smoking. In addition, there would be improved facilities for the existing GP practice as well as accommodation for a range of visiting outpatient and services such as antenatal and child health clinics.
