Crossroads Community Hub is a Community Development Trust which was setup to develop a Community Hub, encompassing a farm shop, coffee shop, craft gallery, multi-use community space and learning centre in the Crossroads area of East Ayrshire.
The objective of this project was to regenerate the rural community surrounding Crossroads and to enable the people of East Ayrshire, and the wider community, to access local produce and encourage a deeper understanding of local food production and rural life.
The initiative aims to regenerate the local area and is the the first community-led farm shop in Scotland. The group have named the project: “Ayrshire Food from Ayrshire Folk”.
Hadden Group were appointed under the Scottish Procurement Alliance Schools & Community Buildings Framework to deliver this project.
