This project was a competitively won Design & Build contract to provide a new multi-use games hall linked to the existing school together with internal alterations to the existing school to provide new medical room, disabled toilet and learning support room.
The project achieved Secured By Design accreditation and was designed to provide energy saving natural ventilation through windcatchers on the roof and high levels of daylighting through rooflights to minimise CO2 emissions.
Heating is provided via underfloor heating overlaid with a sprung sports floor.
During the project close links were maintained with the School Staff and Pupils to ensure the project was successfully delivered with minimal disruption to effective teaching and learning.
