New Nursery, Morrisons Academy, Crieff
The new 0.45m new build Nursery has three main teaching and learning facilities including a play room, wet and messy play area, as well as state-of-the art IT provision. Architects Wellwood Leslie were commissioned to design the new building and have incorporated light and spacious features including a large atrium and floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, which lead out onto the play area and decking.
The stunning purpose-built facility accommodates up to 42 children and demonstrates the school's commitment to educate children from the ages of 3 to 18.
The stand-alone contemporary building adjacent to the existing primary school comprises timber frame construction with timber clad and rendered external wall finishes, concrete floors and aluminium standing seam roof.
A key plank of Morrison's Academy campus redevelopment to enhance their school estate, this fast track project was successfully delivery in time for the new term commencing.
The new Nursery is the first phase in the school's ambitious Campus Redevelopment Programme which aims to redevelop Morrison's Academy with first-class sports and academic facilities for the long-term.
